On May 16, 17 and 18 the North Texas Tumbling Twisters competed at the USA Gymnastics Region 3 Championships in Fort Worth. The team trains at the North Texas Acrosports Center in Pilot Point, Texas. The team is made up of athletes from levels 2-10 and ages 6-19 years old. The athletes come from all around the area to train at the Acrosports Center, including Anna, Aubrey, Celina, Collinsville, Denton, Little Elm, Providence Village, Pilot Point, Sanger, Valley View, and Tioga.
Tyler Terrell won first place in tumbling, trampoline and double mini in the men’s level 10 division, which also earned him three places on the Regional All-Star team that will compete at the USA Gymnastics National Championships in July.
Also winning Regional titles were: Josh Wardle, CalLee Hodnett, Savanna Hodnett and Jamie Morgan. Taking home silver medals were: Maigon Green, Brooklin Housden, Piper Winsett and Josh Wardle. Also placing in the top ten were: Carly Carroll, Morgan Griffin, Rachael Hollis, Aubrey Lawlis, Stephanie Morgan, Haliegh Schober and Sarah Webster.
The Region 3 Championship was also a National Qualifying event for athletes’ level 5 and higher. The National Qualifiers are: Sydney Finch, Maigon Green, Morgan Griffin, Caitlynn Hammer, CalLee Hodnett, Rachael Hollis, Brooklin Housden, Aubrey Lawlis, Hannah Miller, Peyton Moore, Jaime Morgan, Stephanie Morgan, Hallie Sewell, Sarah Webster, Tyler Dunning, Tyler Terrell, and Josh Wardle.
The athletes compete through USA Gymnastics and will compete at the USAG Junior Olympic National Championships in Kansas City, Missouri in July. The team is coached by Tiffani Brumbaugh, Melanie Johns, and Shelly Schon. The North Texas Acrosports Center, owned by George Jessup, also offers training in Dance, Karate, and Acro.
The State Champions are: Maigon Green, CalLee Hodnett, Savanna Hodnett, Jaime Morgan, Dakota Russell, Tyler Dunning, Josh Wardle and winning the Men’s Level 10 All-Around trophies was Tyler Terrell.
Athletes taking home silver include: Rachael Hollis, Brooklin Housden Hannah Miller, Jaime Morgan, Stephanie Morgan, Haleigh Schober, Sarah Webster and Tyler Terrell.
Athletes taking home bronze include: Morgan Griffin, Brooklin Housden, Aubrey Lawlis, Hannah Miller, Peyton Moore, Jaime Morgan, Dakota Russell, Sarah Webster and Josh Wardle.
The State Championship was also a National Qualifier for athletes’ level 5 and higher. The Twisters had one-hundred percent of the eligible athletes qualify.

Reaching mobility scores that enable the athletes to compete at the next level are: Sarah Webster, Maigon Green, Hannah Miller, Morgan Griffin, CalLee Hodnett, Peyton Moore, Sydney Finch, Caitlynn Hammer, Rachael Hollis, Brooklin Housden, Jaime Morgan and Tyler Dunning.
Members of NTTT also competed at a mobility meet in Frisco, TX on March 30. Athletes that reached mobility there were: CalLee Hodnett, Peyton Moore, Hannah Miller, Maigon Green, Hallie Sewell, Sarah Webster and Brooklin Housden.

The team is made up of athletes from levels 2-10 and ages 7-19 years old. The athletes come from all around the area to train at the Acrosports Center, including Anna, Aubrey, Celina, Collinsville, Denton, Little Elm, Providence Village, Pilot Point, Sanger, Valley View and Tioga.
Taking home gold medals at the eligibility meet were: Morgan Griffin, Jaimee Keesee, Jamie Morgan, Stephanie Morgan, Josh Wardle, Desirae Weise, Aubrey Lawlis, CalLee Hodnett, Dakota Russell and Brooklin Housden.
Winning silver medals were: Brooklin Housden, Aubrey Lawlis, Jamie Morgan, Shannon Funck, Peyton Moore, Sydney Finch, CalLee Hodnett and Savanna Hodnett.

The team is made up of athletes from levels 2-10 and ages 7-19 years old. The athletes come from all around the area to train at the Acrosports Center, including Anna, Aubrey, Celina, Collinsville, Denton, Little Elm, Providence Village, Pilot Point, Sanger, Valley View and Tioga. The NTTT level 5 team brought home the 1st place trampoline trophy and 3rd place trophies for tumbling and double mini. Taking home the Men’s Level 10 1st place All-Around award was Tyler Terrell. Brooklin Housden took home two gold medals for women’s level 9 tumbling and double mini and took 2nd place in trampoline. Sarah Webster placed 1st in tumbling and 2nd in trampoline and double mini for women’s level 8.

And taking home the bronze medal were: Hannah Miller, level 7 tumbling, Josh Wardle, level 6 trampoline, Aubrey Lawlis, level 6 trampoline, Crystal Lawlis, level 6 trampoline, Hannah Lang, level 5 trampoline, Peyton Moore, level 5 double mini, Ashley Byrd, level 3 double mini and tumbling and Jamie Morgan, level 3 tumbling.
